E-newsletter, Footnotes, which is distributed once or twice per month.
Membership meetings are held every other month (odd numbered months), rotating between South Bend, Elkhart, and Goshen, and rotating between Monday and Tuesday evenings. Attending our membership meetings will give you the opportunity not only to hear speakers on topics on interest to paralegals, but an opportunity to get to know fellow paralegals in the community.
Networking. One of the most important benefit of your membership in MPA is the opportunity to network with fellow paralegals. When you become a member you will receive a copy of MPA’s most recent membership list. Many of our members find the list helpful for networking and other professional support. Participating in committee work lets you take that opportunity a step further by working together with colleagues on special projects. MPA membership also provides opportunities to participate in community volunteer projects, such as Bar Association events, and outreach programs for paralegal students.
Job Bank. You will receive emails which provide you with notices of paralegal job openings in the Michiana region. If you have any questions about the Job Bank or know of any paralegal positions to be filled, please contact Cindy Benedict at firstname.lastname@example.org
or (574) 237-1112. This service is free to employers.
National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA)
As a member of MPA, you are automatically enrolled as a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA). As an NFPA member, you will receive NFPA’s publication, National Paralegal Reporter, which is published every other month (the even numbered months). As a member of NFPA, you are entitled to certain other benefits, including discounted rates for on-line seminars and NFPA publications. You can also access this and other information on NFPA’s website www.paralegals.org
